This is a commentary on 2 Corinthians that I wrote while teaching a SS class. After receiving the first letter from Paul, the church members corrected some of the problems Paul had addressed. However conditions in the church continued to deteriorate requiring Paul's second visit. After hearing of further problems in the church Paul wrote his second letter. This letter is also very appropriate for the church today in addressing possible problems. However history tells us that in A.D. 96 Clement of Rome had to rebuke the same internal problems and rebellion against authority that prompted Paul's letters. Satan continues to try to destroy the church so it is very important for us to understand how he works at his task.
